I'm trying to download a movie torrent that's XviD compatible, and I have DivX. I just want to know that, compared to DivX, how does XviD compare? If so, will it be a better player than my DivX?
they are quite similar, xvid is open source so bugs will be fixed faster giving it a slight advantage.
the klite codec pack will give you most codec formats and players you will need to play almost anything.
