Which is better: Redwood NP or Sequoia NP?

We're taking a trip to California in a few weeks, and we are considering visiting either the Redwoods or Sequoia National Park. We are coming from Texas so it will take a bit longer to make it to Redwood. So I would like to know if it is worth it to go all the way to the Redwoods, or if Sequoia would be just about as spectacular.
