If you want more striking go with Karate. If you want more kicking go with tae kwon do like what the above posts said it's comparing apples with oranges.

There are no better styles if both are taught as a Martial art and not as tag your it point sparring.
Choose the one with the better instructor.
Now that being said TKD has the worst problem with sport ( tag your it) and McDojang schools out there. It is getting almost impossible to find a Traditionally taught form of TKD.
 
Delete this question and type a new one where you spell Shotokan correctly. Or Shito Ryu. Whichever one you meant.

With that attrocious mispelling you are only going to get answers ridiculing the spelling.
