Which laptop do you think is better/which one do you have and would recommend?
Right now I have a Dell Inspiron 1525. I've used Dells for basically my whole life, which is why i bought a Dell for college. Apaprently, huge mistake.
First laptop they send me is completely broken. I spent countless hours on the phone with them asking them to exchange it for me, which they for some reason didn't want to do even though they sent it broken to me in the first place.
Finally, they exchanged it and I thought everything was fine. The second laptop was okay, nothing bad- until the fan started rattling after I've had it for less than half a year. So the fan is busted and I have to fix it.
I know this doesn't mean Dell is awful and that every laptop can have its problems, but I refuse to get another Dell when I shop for a new one in the future.
My real question is should I get an Apple? I need a laptop that's small and light to carry to classes. I've heard both good and bad things about Apples. What do you think?
Also, suggestions about the other ones are welcome too. I've heard that IBMs were really good until they were bought out by Lenovo.
