It's for my english class...
I prefer books that are darker and a bit more morbid (I like tragedies) but then there's exception to everything—Im not specifically looking for a tragedy. Are there any of these that are a must read?
Till We Have Faces- C.S. Lewis
The Mayor of Casterbridge- Thomas Hardy
Tess of the D'Urbervilles- Thomas Hardy
Portrait of the Artist s a Young Man- James Joyce
Nicholas Nickleby- Charles Dickens
Hard Times- Charles Dickens
Mansfield Park- Jane Austen
The Picture of Dorian Gray- Oscar Wilde
That's it! I've looked all of them up, but didn't get very far... I figure a recommendation might be helpful. Thanks
