Which of these three things would you do on a vacation in Arizona?

If you could choose only one:

1. Ride in a hot air balloon over the Verde River Valley amidst the Sedona Red Rocks
2. Ride on a donkey down the Grand Canyon
3. Ride in a glider plane over miles of desert floor in full bloom in the Valley of the Sun

I did a lot of vacations in AZ. My choice would be the balloon ride. The glider ride is too dependent upon weather and are the flowers blooming when you are there.

The mule ride is hot, dusty and very hard on one's rear end.
It would be the most fascinating though. I never got to do that.
It is usually booked a year ahead so check it out.

There is a lot of great stuff to see and do in Az. Monument Valley beats Grand Canyon all to heck. Rent a car and do some of it.

I would do number two of the choices. But mostly i would check the nightlife in the Phoenix area cuz i know all about it

...you have succeeded in tantalizing me and also frustrating me because I want to do all three :D...but, (sigh)...since I must choose, give me the hot air balloon ride...when do we go ?

That's hard. I live here so I know that those would all be amazing.

Sedona is gorgeous from the ground so I'm sure it would be even more amazing in a hot air balloon.

The Grand Canyon is breathtaking as well, but I'd rather hike it (which I have, several times) than ride a donkey. Riding the donkey makes you really sore and hiking is more rewarding to me anyways.

Honestly I would choose this third option because it's the most unlike anything I've ever done. I live in the valley but I'm sure its a totally different experience in a glider plane. It sounds like a fun adventure.

#2 for me, I have often thought of doing that. Shall I drive by and pick ya'll up?!!? Lets stay a couple of nights at my place in Cordes Lakes, it's close to all those places, and never gets hot like Phoenix. In about another few weeks, I'm headed up there to stay till it cools off in the valley.

d.... All of the above.... AND: visit my good friend *Starr*

I have been there a witnessed all of them so I would try all 3.

I'll take the donkey ride w/ a certain German Shepard/ Collie mix tagging along w/ the owners leading the way down one of natures great wonders..An adventure to imagine...

Donkey ride!

But I have vacationed in Arizona, and tubed down the river. It was pretty fun except for the part where I almost got swept away.

All right so what's with the guy saying AZ is too hot and heading back to VEGAS? Does he actually live in Vegas? Last time I was there is was 101* at midnight. Yeah ... that's not that hot though.

*smacks forehead!

Well, I can tell ya that number 2 is out of the picture. Donkey's and I do NOT get along. Still not sure if it's due to that stint in Tijiuana or what? ha haaa! Of course I'm kidding. At least about the Mexico part. That long on a donkey? No thanks.

I'd say #1 for sure. That area really is beautiful. I chose # 1 for that simple reason. The glider ride would be over fairly quickly and I think the beauty would be lost in the blur. Not to mention riding in a sling shot would scare the crap outta me! lol

You know ... Prescott is much cooler and very beautiful too. (Not a big fan of the heat!) lol

Peace to you ...
