Which one is better, 2010 camaro or Honda Civic?

I keep having this debate in my head in which car is better american muscle car or japanese made cars like honda civics. I hear that a lot kids today buy old or new honda civic for cheap and upgrade them. Well in my opinion they look like alright cars and have good gas mileage but when it comes to racing I'm not sure about them( don't hate It's my opinion). But I do like about cars like honda civics is that when you accelerate they take off quick, like with out no struggle. Were else the 2010 Camaro makes a little hesitation to get going and that does bother me a bit, not to also mention how uncomfortable the inside is as well. So what's your opinion car enthusiast? what's your take on this? you can buy a 2010 Camaro SS for the expensive price of 40 grand and it has 440 Hp but I don't know much about honda civics, I guess you can buy a base one and upgraded? Anybody care to educate me?
