Which shoes would be better for just exercising at my gym and hiking?

I'm not getting two different pairs, so don't suggest that. Would either of these be alright?

Lol my mom has fit flops... there's no way you could wear them to exercise, you'd break your ankle. They are basically platform flip flops.
