drive and comfort? I am 75 and have driven Cadillacs for 40 yrs and for 20 or so before that I drove a mixture of Olds, Chevs and Pontiacs. I am 6'2" and getting a little bit "stove up". I love my current Caddy but am troubled by having to get down into it and up out of it, and hitting my head on the door frame both ways. I think I would like something like a Jeep Grand Cherokee where I could just slide in and slide out, and have some head room as a bonus. On the other extreme, I definitely don't want any thing as big as an Escalade, Explorer, Navigator, or any other kind of monster. If I wanted a truck, I'd get one. I want a vehicle that rides and drives like a luxury sedan as nearly as can be, with normal tires instead of mountain climbers. I think the kids would probably call it a "grocery getter, " but so be it. Any ideas based on experience or knowledge?

I would say the infinity QX38....its big but has a great drive and a great interior.....however if you want to only buy an American made car i would say a hummer h3 which is a bit smaller than an escalade...hope this helped

GMC Acadia, Buick Enclave, Chevy Traverse, Volvo XC90, Ford Edge, Lexus RX. Cant go wrong with any of them.

The Saturn Outlook, or the Buick Rendevous, will probably be your best bet,,,,
Drive both of them, they are not built on the same platform...

My guess is you will like the Rendevous.......
