I have a pair of Stanton Str8-150 turntables and they've recently started making a strange noise. As I rewind/cue my vinyl, a loud whining noise comes from underneath the record. I don't think it's a technical fault, more like something happening between the platter, the slipmat and the vinyl. I've tried turning my slipmats over, but it still seems to affect most of my records.
Any thoughts/solutions welcome!
Thanks,
M

Get an iPod?

Honestly though, take some alcohol and wipe the needle, chances are you aren't storing these turntables in a high end studio so there's a good chance dirt and other stuff is floating around in the air. Make sure your stylus is clean before you put another vinyl in.
