My tumble drier is tripping the main circuit breaker when it gets warm. It seemed to be OK when left for a while, but last time it was operated, it blew the breaker after a second or so. The element, when disconnected from the wiring, has infinite resistance so it looks like it has had it (should be around 20-30 Ohms?), but would this have caused the circuit breaker to trip while it was busy burning itself out?
Hope someone can shed a bit of light on this for me.
Many thanks
