Celebrities are people, just like us. They have a job and that's to entertain us. Are we *really* entitled to know abut their private lives? Aren't they entitled to privacy just like the rest of the working world? And we as fans, if we truly care about them, shouldn't we respect their privacy? I mean being a celebrity nowadays is hardly worth it if you sell you're whole life just to please others.

Please don't give me that "They knew what they were signing on for when they became a celebrity!" because I don't think anyone would want to be a celebrity if they knew *exactly* what they were in for...people clamoring for every bit of personal info only to judge them on it. Sure they know they'll be the center of attention, but tabloid attention and paparazzi crawling up their asses 24/7 is hardly worth it all. NO one is THAT big a masochist! Put yourself in their position...you had to protect your family because people were calling them names in public, you were getting lied on/to/about by tabloids, people jumping out of the bushes and calling you names so you'll give them an angry face and they can sell that photo of you for tens of thousands of dollars to a sh*t rag paper who will put that picture over the heading, "This star angry for having to donate money to an orphanage against his/her will just to save their sagging career!" when you never donated, only planned to? You couldn't go anywhere, do anything, your entire life was lived in a public fish bowl?

But am *I* the only one who feels they have the right to privacy?

I agree 100%

Poor Michael.

The only thing I disagree with are Disney stars.
They get all this fame. when they are JUST KIDS.
on a KIDS network.
But some celebs just bring it on themselves. They ask for attetion.

Ugh, I totally agree. I hate magazines with a passion. They always judge and make fun of those poor celebrities....it's not like the celebrities don't have feelings too.

I think paparazzi should be illegal. They're the reason why Princess Diana died. She was the queen of England. Her cab driver was trying to escape from the paparazzi and wrecked the car. She died a slow, painful death because the car had somehow gotten scrunched up.

Plus the paparazzi make female celebrities so self-conscious and insecure. That's the reason so many female celebrities are anorexic. They feel pressured into being beautiful, it's awful to have to feel that way. Even professional models are told to have self-confidence in order to walk the run-way....yet celebrities aren't told shit.

Plus not to mention all of the crazy stalker fans, like that girl who was stalking Paula Abdul. She died right in front of Paula's house. -___-

I know you don't want to hear this but it's true, its all apart of the job. Yes I do agree that they are entitled to their rights of privacy. Some celebrities really ask for it. Also you have to think the paps need to make a living somehow, like telemarketers not the most loved people in the world, but hey that's life.

I agree it is going to far when family or friends are targeted that is completely irrelevant.

But in my honest opinion i do think people need to mind their own business a bit more. Its not all glitz and glamor.

yes we all do in this world, but as celebrities they pick and
choose when they want us to know their business, and
when they do choose to, its open to criticism.

What I do think is, that celebrities also have the right
to not want to hug every fan and they should be
allowed to their own personal space when out in public.

Its natural to be curious about celebs especially when
alot of fans spend alot of money so celebs can afford
their lifestyle, so fans and the public do have the right
to know what type of person the celeb they support
is in their everyday but there is a boundary and
it gets crossed, for example the paparazzi.
