paradigm of the world?
WOW Elvis I've read that Korea is a very chauvinistic country but beating your wife in the street??? Interestingly, Korea has one of the world's lowest birthrates. Think there's a connection?

I'd been to Switzerland, France, China, Taiwan, Aust, NZ, Indonesia, S'pore, Thailand, M'sia.
Just traveling will not give you the full story of a country. i need to live and work for about 6mths in order to know. Eg: i'd been to Nz for study for 4 years, everything seems right and perfect, until i tried to look for job, then i realized that racism is very 'strong'. (When you are customer /tourist - paying money to them, everyone will treats you well, but , when you try to get money from them (getting a job), you will see the truth.

I have been to Korea where it is accepted to hit your wife. Not saying that all Korean men hit there wives. Just that I saw it a few times on the street. An if you interfere you are the one in the wrong. It just showed me that American women are not as down trodden as they may think they are.

I have been in Mexico, Canada, England, Newfoundland, Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, Palma de Majorca, Australia, Tunisia, Kenya, St. Thomas of the US Virgin Islands, Jamaica and in all of the States except ND and HI. I have found, in every place that I have actually set foot on the soil, that every country has its good places and its bad places. Some have less good than bad and vice versa.
The US is still the best as far as democracy goes.
