...blatant rule violations? I was just curious if there was moderators for certain areas of Answers. Someone somewhere must have some authorative capabilities.

My reason for asking has multiple reasonings...

I play World of Warcraft, and as such, i tend to do an Advanced search on World of Warcraft.

Now, doing so, i see tons of answers to questions that have asked that violate the terms of Y! Answers. For example, there are a few select people that promote a website with all their answers, and it is to me just pretty much a spam response to get you to go to their website to spend money there for services that are considered Illegal to use within the game World of Warcraft by the Developer of the game Blizzard, Inc.

There are other instances where because Blizzard has a referral program, people are always telling the question asker to contact them by email to create a referral entry. This also is against the rules as its for profit in the aspect that, it is for your own personal gain. Once you refer a member and if that member pays for an account, you get bonus perks in the game, and if they pay for a month of time, you also get a month of time free. It's only 15 dollars, But with tons of questions and answers daily for a game on this section of Yahoo, its easy for someone to get multiple referrals (yes, Blizzard caps it at 6 at a time) but 6 referrals can equal a half year of game playing time for free. and since your Referral gets removed from your account after 3 months, every 3 months you can gain 6 more referrals, and pretty much stack up your time on the game. So that after a year of successful phishing using Y! Answers as your source of activity, you can have 2 years worth of game time stacked up.

It's so bad, that a TOP CONTRIBUTOR is even doing this.

This is why i ask where the moderation is. If someone is deemed to be a moderator, or have some sort of say when it belongs to a game like this for moderation purposes in answers, it would go a long way to making the section more enjoyable for others rather than see the same message from 3 different people on every World of Warcraft answer to spam their website.

Any help or comments on who to contact in regards to this? And how exactly do you become a "top Contributor" My thoughts are if a top contributor flags an answer or a question that is a blatant violation, it should carry some weight to get it automatically removed as being inappropriate.

Thanks

Supposedly, two or more abuse reports will get a question or answer removed. Also, they have a new program where if a person consistently and "accurately" reports abuse, they will be taken more seriously when they tattle.
