Who thought Roger delgado was brilliant as the Master in dr who?

Obviously i do. he had such prescence and charachter on screen, a great life cut short.

He WAS The Master.

I was amazed to find out that he only played the master for about two years.
I have so many fond memories of him in the role, that I thought he had been playing it for much longer than that.
His sudden & tragic death was part of the reason for Jon Pertwee leaving the show.

I have to admit that John Simm was very good in the role, but Roger Delgado's face is the one I always see in my mind's eye whenever anyone says The Master.
