The nominees are...
"Coraline"
"Fantastic Mr. Fox"
"The Princess & the Frog"
"The Secret of Kells"
"Up"
The only cartoon I ain't familiar w/, & perhaps is a placeholder, is "The Secret of Kells." I dunno which studio made this film. On a search on this site, there are only two questions about it that aren't resolved yet. So if you've seen "The Secret of Kells," I'd like 2 hear from ya.
The other films make for a big-studio showdown, between a coupl'a Disney flicks, 20th Century Fox, ("The Fantastic Mr. Fox") & Universal ("Coraline.") I hope the somewhat-eponymous Fox movie doesn't win just because George Clooney was a voice-over talent. As for the Disney films, "Up" is a lot likelier then "The Princess & the Frog" to win. My baby sister saw "Up"; I think that may say something about the appeal to specific younger viewers as "The Princess & the Frog" is strictly for fans under 12.
So which cartoon did you like? Shoutouts from those who saw "The Secret of Kelis" is encouraged. The 82nd Oscars take place March 7 on ABC.
