They were only agency workers - and a lot of them were foreign. Lets face it - they should not have got their feet under the table and got complacent in their jobs. What BMW have done is not illegal. Now maybe these workers will learn to go out and find themselves proper contracts instead.

No chance of me losing my job - I'm indispensable.

Why be employed by an agency for between 3-5 years? They got too complacent - and now they've paid the price for being lazy and not trying to find anything else.
Just watching Watchdog about all the problems with Mini's - now that the agency workers are gone I bet it will improve

I really hope you or your loved one never has to experience losing their job.

I suggest you consider the wording of your questions in the future as it is possible they come across as rude arrogant and racist

just because someone works for an agency does not make them any less of a person

I respectfully suggest you have a lot of growing up to do

Wow your going to start an argument here.
Those workers can't all be foreign workers, and even if they were, they're still human beings and still have to live. That could of been the only job they were able to get, now they have to search for another one! I'd like to see them get another job in this climate, so what will happen to them?
You should have a little compassion and hope you dont lose your job!

Too many cars are now being made world wide, more than people require.
Supply and demand really.
