Why am I ostracized for my sense of humor?

I recently waltzed over to a well known epilepsy forum (under a proxy, mind you) and flooded the site with a legion of flashing .GIF files. I suspect (or at minimum hope) it will cause a fit of some sort. Much to my amusement.

But why am I ostracized for it? There are worse things I could be doing with my spare time.
