Why Android over Symbian?

What is Symbian more capable of doing other than it's open source? I have a symbian Anna phone but what sort of things they can handle or they can't ; Symbian and Android? Simply what is the best? Is there any BIG advantages buying an Android over symbian? Thanks in advance.

Hi.I find android phones are the best there is because there are more apps to offer, better quality and just way more cool features in general.
