Why are all my apllications trying to open through bittorrent?

I was trying to open something through bittorrent and it said there wasn't enough memory. Thats not the problem though. I looked at the desktop and apparently everything is trying to open through bittorrent. anything that is blahblahblag."EXE." Please help
