Why are Americans so rude when they travel overseas?

Ok I live in New Zealand, and alot of tourists come to visit the area I live in. Alot of Americans (but not all though ) are very rude and loud. and think they are better than the rest of the world. Why is this?

Because most people here are entitled little brats...no matter what their age is!

The "ugly american" syndrome. America's very competitive, still not an excuse. Being loud is a sign of youth and vigor.
