Why are bullying and religion the only reasons for homeschooling?

It seems that the only reason parents home school is :
1 - to prevent them from learning about evolution or sex
2 - their kid is getting picked on.

Can anyone tell me that THEY PERSONALLY homeschool for a different reason? I want REAL examples, not made up or hypothetical
 
My nephew is home schooled its because my brother says he will benefit more from individual attention and he will learn more which he does seem to be quite intelligent for his age. Personally myself i disagree with it because he's not getting much of a social life, but then again there's loads of neighbors etc.
