Okay, so it was valentines day.
My boyfriend of two years was such a sweetie, he bought me 20 pink roses, a teddy bear & balloon and wrote the most gorgeous words i've ever read in a beautiful card to me.
My dad said...'why are the roses pink? was he being cheap, shouldn't they be red, why didnt he get two dozen (24)'
he said it in a jokey style but it still hurt my feelings since my boyfriend went to such an effort since we agreed to get each other nothing originally.
i felt like i had to defend him, pink is my fav colour, i want pink ones at my wedding in the future, will my dad ever accept him into the family? or will there always be an awkward atmosphere?
