internet? I was checking my phone bill and I noticed that my bill was higher than I expected. I looked down the bill to see what I was charged for. It said I was charged for data transfers. I don't recall going on the internet at all. Why are these data transfers being charged on my phone bill when I don't even go on the internet?

do you get ring tones?? even if you use your phone to download ringtones it will use data - ring tones or ring back tones ..

It could come from sampling ringtones, music, and videos that your carrier offers for sale. Any time that you see the icon with the two arrows moving back and forth your phone is passing data back and forth with your carrier's network and you are incurring data charges.

Probably sending pictures or picture messages or getting new ring tones those count as the same thing because it is all transfer of information on those pay to use servers.
