I mean, seems like atheists should be against it because they believe there is no afterlife and are worried that this life is all there is. Where as if you are Catholic or Baptist, etc etc, seems like being kept in this world as a vegetable keeps you away from heaven. Also, the machines are man-made, if you have the faith of a mustard seed, you can move a mountain right? Sooo.. if it's truly God's will, stop the machines and prayer will save them. Or, God intends for them to come home. I am on the fence on this issue so interested in what non-religious people and religious people think.

They feel it is equivalent to murder or suicide. So, if someone were to voluntarily give up on their own life, it would be considered suicidal.

But yes, there is another side to this that they are not seeing.

when brain dead, its ok to not plug up to machines but we cant murder ppl with injections....its wrong

My take on the phenomenon is that God owns people and their lives, so when their lives are destroyed it is an affront to God and is it always a sin.
