whining happened1-2 years ago? It's mega pissing me off, he's a decent player who's accomplished a lot in the past 5 years. Sure he shouldn't be shoved down our throats as usual but the kid still deserves some praise. And no, I don't hate Ovechkin and LOVE Sid. Actually, I love Malkin!

Sidney whines all the time. You just haven't been paying attention.
I particularly like how he whined that Capitals fans were throwing too many hats on the ice when Ovechkin scored yet another hat trick while he was on the ice.

People are petty and like to believe that athletes only lead their lives on the arenas and don't lead regular lives like the rest of us.

He still whines, I was watching a penguins vs flames game earlier this year and whenever it showed crosby he was always crying to the ref about something.

I hear a lot of that here around Philly. I ain't on the Sidwagon but I always had a begrudging respect for him which has grown less begrudging and more respectful this last year or so. First by winning the Stanley Cup, then by delivering at crunch time in these Olympics.

We Philadelphia area sports fans aren't used to our hockey players delivering when it counts. They do okay during the regular season, getting the fans all worked up, only to choke when players like Crosby, Ovechkin, et al shine.

Just watch this seasons' playoffs. Then another offseason of excuses will ensue when a parade is being put together in some other city.
