Why are republicans afraid of arguing?

They all spout off amongst themselves. But when you engagethem, they stutter and don't have anything to say about relevant, current topics. Why is this?

That is a generalization. Certain republicans do that, yes. Certain democrats do the same. People who intend to argue about things in a logical fashion can only do so if they are well-informed on the subject. Republicans, democrats, and independents that are careful with what they say will avoid debate using undeveloped ideas.

In direct answer to your question: People feel safer when they are doing something familiar.

I'm not afraid of arguing. I love it. I do it all the time. I wish there was a debate club or something at my college, but there isn't.

they arent interested in the real stuff
