DEBT burden on future generations...? ...the same people who are in favor of this massive spending bill signed by our President (and getting bigger by the minute, I might add)? This has surpassed Iraq. Is anyone else greatly troubled?

Nancy Pelosi on Fiscal Responsibility:

"Our federal budget should be a statement of our national values. One of those values is responsibility. Working with President Barack Obama, Democrats in Congress are ending the Bush Administration's irresponsible budget policies that have produced historic deficits. Instead of piling trillions of dollars of debt onto our children and grandchildren, we have restored Pay-As-You-Go budget discipline, adopted fiscally responsible budgets, and worked to stop waste, fraud, and abuse to ensure that taxpayers' money is not wasted."

Hypocrisy, anyone?

Because they are trying to compare themselves with FDR. But don't forget, it was FDR's New Deal that kept the US in depression until after 1946.

Because they see value in Obama's spending, yet see Bush's spending as wasteful. It's a total double standard - deficit spending is bad! Unless you're giving it to my cause, of course...
