Why are their so many conflicting religions?

because there are so many people in the world, each with their own point of view. and some of them can convince other people to follow them and believe the same thing, even if it's not true.

i was once brainwashed into thinking christianity was the only way, but i don't believe that anymore. i think each view has its own traditions and stories to make the same points. there have been similarities pointed out between what christians believe about jesus and some mythological characters (sorry, can't remember just who), so how can i believe that jesus was the only one & true son of god if someone else had the same stories told about him?

btw i don't fit myself into any group.
