Why are women treated much better in Islam than in Judaism and Christianity?

Judaism says it is acceptable to rape young girls just as long as the rapist believes in God.

Christianity says that women must obey men and are not allowed to question male authority or have abortions.

Islam has more respect for women; and no I am not a Muslim I am an ATHEIST!!!

Thank you very much for this post. This is the first time someone has said this. You are right, Islam does not discriminate between men and women like people claim. Islam gives equal rights for both gender. Islam uplifts the women and does not oppress her.
 
Most Jews no longer accept or observe the more egregiously awful passages in the Old Testament, and only fundamentalist/very conservative Christians believe that women must obey men and are not allowed to question male authority.

What you have to compare isn't what was written down in the Bible many centuries ago but how the majority of people in all three groups actually behave in this day and age.
 
You're kidding...right? I can't remember the last time I heard of a Christian woman or a Jewish woman stoned to death!

I can certainly see that you have never lived and worked in a predominately Islamic nation as I have. In addition, you should quote the Bible word for word not make up your own. The Bible clearly says that husbands are to love their wives as Jesus Christ loves his church. The Bible never says that women are not supposed to question their husbands. It does say that women are to obey their husbands, but it also tells believers to "love your neighbor as yourself" and a wife would certainly fit into that category for a husband. As for abortions, the Bible makes clear that God knew us before we were formed in our mother's womb. In other words, killing babies is murder. Did you know that the majority of pregnant women who see a sonogram and their baby alive with a beating heart do not get an abortion because they instinctively know that it is wrong?

are u watching the news? they want to stone to death a woman who commit adultery because of their peaceful Quran.
im not sure but i think her husband has died and she is a widow, but still they want to put her to death!

Radicalizm in any of its form does a disservice to its members. Radical Islam treats its women like livestock. Radical Christianity treats its women like brood mares. However, radicalism is not the essence or reality of a religion. For most Jewish people, it is NOT acceptable to rape under any form. For most Christians, a woman does not have to be susberveant. For most Islam, women do not have to wear a cover under threat of death or bodily harm.

So that said, moderation breeds respect for women in all three of these religions. It is only in the radical sects that women (and also men in the religions) are treated poorly.

Saw a documentary all about the treatment of women in Afghanistan. This is why I believe that the invasion of Afghanistan was a morally correct decision to make.

This is what happens when you allow religion into government and law. Lookout America, this is where you are heading.

Judaism does not condone rape.
Christianity has done more for the rights of women, than any other faith in the world.
Men & Women are EQUAL in Christianity.
So, either your ignorant( do not know any better, or are just stirring the Pot).

and the passage you speak of regarding christianity is speaking of people in the church, not anywhere lol. it was written to a church about women speaking in public. context, my friend, context.

and islam has more respect for women? you DO know they actually have rules allowing them to beat their women as long as its done at home and not in public? they can beat t hem with a stick.
