Why can I not migrate my Pokemon from gba to ds?

I have the national dex on Pearl and have gone to Pal Park to migrate.
I then saved the game and put my Fire red gba cart in the ds, turned Pearl back on but the option to migrate doesnt appear.
I have read loads of sites and have followed the instructions but I just cant get the option with either Fire red or leaf green, I have 7 pokemon in the box on both of these....Help!!
im in pal park, the guy says i cant compete in the show....ive then saved and re started but still nothing!!!
 
pokemon that know hm moves in generation III can't be transferred because the HM moves are different in diamond and pearl than they are in fire red, leaf green, ruby, sapphire or emerald. the move deleter in fire red/leaf green is right next to the pokemon center in fuschia city. I don't know the exact location in ruby/sapphire/emerald, but it's somewhere in lilycove city.
 
if those pokemon you want to migrate have any HM moves (eg. Waterfall, Dive), you will not be able to migrate them. You have to delete these moves using the Move Deleter. I believe he's in Fushia City.
 
thats what happend with me. what u gotta do is put the gba game in (dosent matter if the migrate option isnt there yet) than go inside pal park.talk to the person ther hell talk and say "u cant compete in a catching show if u havent migrated pokemon"he'llsay this once u select compete in catching show.save and start up pokemon diamond again.if it dosent work, contact me by sending a message too my aim wich is [email protected] i will do more research for u to get this problem sorted out.
