Hi there. I'm trying to root my android phone here but I have an issue. In order to root my phone, I have to download the build version 4.0.2.A.0.58. The instruction then tells me to download Flash tool. So I did. I have also downloaded and installed ADB drivers for Sony Ericsson Live. Also not forgetting Easy Rooting Toolkit.
It tells me to put the firmware ......A.058 to the following directory: "C:\Flashtool\firmwares". So I did. Then it tells me to turn off my phone and turn it on (with the USB cable connected) holding the volume button and power button at the same time. It says that a green light should glow. Then I should be able to flash my phone's firmware via the flashtool. However, every-time I do this action (holding the volume and power button simultaneously), it always goes to the home screen!
I've been trying this for so many hours. I've even updated the flashtool version and it still doesn't work! What should I do? Please help me. Thanks.
P.S. I've made sure that USB Debugging mode is on.
