Why Can't Mozilla and Internet Explorer can't display page.?

So I have used mozilla firefox before and it just stopped working. What happened was that i tried to go online it had the "Can't Display Page" page. So i looked for some answers couldn't get it to work, so i just decided to use Internet Explorer. Then a few weeks ago the same thing happened.

I have tried changing LAN settings, Proxy settings and all that junk.

So does anyone know how I could fix my problem?

It's an error thats probably a virus, there is a repair fee of about one hundred dollars. I am too cheap to pay that, my computer has the same issue, I use MSN Explorer now >:/
