Why cant wont it let me send a txt on my samsung soul?

whenever i try to send a txt it always takes ages and then at the end it says "try again" and it doesnt send?

Is that a US phone? Sorry, I'm not too sure. If it's not a phone from the US then you will have to set the phone's text/mms settings to your service provider's settings.
