why did Jesus christ pray to God?

if Jesus himself was God then he was praying to himself that day before his death?
if Jesus is God the creator then why did he pray to himself?
 
The teaching that Jesus is God is a false teaching repeatedly refuted by Jesus Himself.It's so amazing that so many ministers continue to teach it isn't it?Maybe we shouldn't be surprised in light of all the other non-biblical teachings that are taught in most churches.Most churches are filled with man-made doctrines that have turned them into hollow spiritually empty religious put-ons.
 
When Moses wrote the book of Genesis, he uses the word Elohim which is a plural form for God. Notice in Genesis that the Lord says, "Let us create humans our own image, our own likeness. The word God is like a family surname. That is why there is God the Father and God the Son. Since Jesus called His apostles His brothers therefore , What has God offered us, is to become part of that Family. The Family of God.
 
If you are daughter to your mother, you can also be mother to your daughter...

Prophet Jesus(peace be upon him) was human like you and me. He prayed to Allah because he was a muslim.
