He obediently satisfied God's demand for justice while allowing sinners to be reconciled to God and saved. It was the ONLY WAY.

SOMEONE HAD TO SUFFER GREATLY AND THEN DIE!

So that others after Him would be able to suffer less for His name.

I was just thinking about this today. When Stephen was being stoned, I truly believe that the Lord numbed His pain. When He made the decision to stay and suffer death to stand by the Gospel, he "died" right then.

I have experienced pain but didn't feel it. Why, because of adrenaline. God can take away the feeling of pain.

it helps reinforce how unimportant our personal happy life is before our body dies, it also helps us get our mind around that all of our selfishness was taken out and Jesus bore the result (life without God) for us of that poor choice we all make. there is more

12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

He knew that all of us would sin after sin came in to the world!!!! He knew that we'd all be guilty of sin and some of us would repent after realizing that it was wrong so, God sent his sinless son Jesus christ the Messiah to take our sins and be killed for it!!!! No one could do it but him, because the whole world is guilty of sin!!!!
The penalty for sin is death and that's what we deserve but Jesus stood up for us by dying and suffering the way he did on our behalf!!!!! WOW, he is just great!!!!!!! Yes, he died for us!!!!!!!
Through Jesus Christ, believing in him, & asking him to forgive us for our sins, our wonderful God has given us a second chance to be with him in this beautiful Paradise when we leave here!!!!!!!

He wants us around for eternity and without His sacrificing Himself once for all repented past, present and future sins, that would not be possible because we would not be reconciled to God and would still be separated from Him.

He was an example of how we would feel and mght react when we face pain and suffering in our own lives. Like him we might say, and even think that God has forsaken us but He hasn't. He still loves us, and if we react to our pains, and behave in seemingly ungodly, or unholy ways, God isn't judging us but the people who are watching us, could be.

He took upon Himself every single sin you can imagine and sacrificed once and for all the ultimate blood sacrifice. That is real and total love.
