Why did the Australopithecus go extinct? Also, did Homo sapiens kill off all

the other Homos? If Homo sapiens did not cause the extinction of the other Homos, then why is Homo sapiens the only one of its kind left?
 
We don't really know why they went extinct. It is likely that we took over the best territory and directly hunted and killed them. We probably mostly caused the extinction of the other members of the genus Homo. We would not be very tolerant of spear throwing hominids. I would imagine that there would be a very high priority to wipe them out.
