Why do all the new trends tend to be so slutty?

seriously, every store I have been to, its been see-through this and low-cut that! I am not the turtle neck and jeans person but I don't want to wear slutty clothes! Why does it seem that all the people who have big boobs and make-up packed faces are always the popular ones?

Is there something I am missing?
