Why do Asians love gadgets?

Often you will find Asians (I mean people of East Asian)with the latest gadgets in their hands and I have been to a few trade shows where they demonstrate new technologies that are coming out and you always see Asians making up very disproportionately high number of people at these shows.

Why?
