why do atheists and believers argue so much..?

as an atheist you belief the science, so you should know, that religion is a coping mechanism for human to survive, ,why would you try and take that away from them, religion was borne from good and evil, the goodness you feel for the over productive sense that we have to love, feel guilt etc... some people try and class that through their religion.. if youre so smart in disproving their faith, why arent you so smart in just being decent and accepting that some people need religion just to get through life, is it so bad bad to have a faith in something fictional to make it a bit easier??
Deokanon religion does not denote perfectionism, extremists denote perfectionism , hence all the trouble that someone has listed!! christinity was based on good(i believe) what people have interperted from the written gospels has caused the problems, where they have took it too litereally, but atheistists dont do themselves any favours when they take the oppisite black white side of arguments which definately have many grey tones!!!

those religious people are mean!!!
revelation dosent mean the end and judgement, it also can mean the re-birth and a different way of thinking!!

Well the sign on the door says Religion and Spirituality,so people intrested in those things come in; unfortunately the scoffers,trouble makers and people that just want to rant and blashpheme God come in to. I guess they dont read the sign before they come in
 
No argument just my effort to point out that worshiping bubble gum and god are the same thing with the odds in favour of bubble gum at least it pops
 
I hate most atheist because of just that i argue because i don't like the christian mainly protestant beliefs and i think that it is soft and for pussy's and it has turned humanity into a thing that is evil yes the desire to do good is evil because then we have no way to move forward as a species the greeks and ancient romans excelled because there gods were beneath them they were the rulers of the gods there passion was that the gods could punish them but that they would not quit till they can punish the gods and now we try to stop progress because of two things christian beliefs and the brainwashing of americans by there government to think communism and socialism are bad when they are really the type of society we want to have in the future.
 
im atheist and i cool with others religion as long as it is true faith not a bandwagon just believing to belong is stupid
 
Because their beliefs are different. There will always be arguments and quarrels between two faiths; it's human nature.

religion promotes perfectionism, a simple deviance from the "natural good" deserves eternal punishment. compromising strictly prohibited.

that's dumb when you think we humans were able to come up with democracy and god couldn't.
 
everyone is searching for truth and truth is relative.
to me, the truth is Jesus and God and everything that comes with it.
to the atheist, the truth may be the big bang and evolution.

Educated Christians often believe that atheists are simply ignorant and are just spewing off things they have no clue about. and vice versa. Atheists believe that Christians have no solid physical basis for their belief therefor its a bunch of crap. the acknowledgment of this forces one side to express their opinions to the other in a harsh condescending manner in order to be right, where no one has enough proof on either side to prove it.

or......just because its fun =D
i love arguing my faith. one of the greatest lessons ive ever learned is: question God. question the bible. but question it with the faith that God can and will prove Himself to you. and i know He will and He always does. so when I see a chance to further educate myself in any area, or to shoot down non-truths, i take it =)


Finally, because of the nature of Christianity. atheists often bash Christians for being hypocrites and not following the bible, but one of the greatest commandments in the bible (no, not one of the 10), is in Matthew 28. its called "the great commission. in other words, go and spread the word. go and convert people. go and share your faith. if atheists want us to stop being hypocrites but also want us to stop sharing our faith, theres a problem...
