Christian denominations? I've seen lots of Christians mock Mormons, JWs, Amish, etc., for what they believe in. Many Protestants mock Catholics and vice versa. How is this any different from non-believers mocking believers?

Well I'd have to say that those people, who do mock other denominations, are either not Christians at all, or extremely childish (or both).

Well not all Christians do that and it is a matter of who thinks who interprets what right.

On here do you mean?

Mormons are not Christians - that's just an absurd notion.

JWs are extremely doubtful.

That's not mocking. That's just understanding.

Do you think mormons are Christians? I guess that is not an unreasonable assumption for a person lacking in knowledge and understanding, but it is incorrect.

But mocking is overstepping and we are in error, and should repent of that (if guilty).

Happy now?

Who pays any attention to idiots? People believe whatever they choose to believe and if someone mocks them oh well. Just move on.

Ah, that's just human nature. Just look at young kids in school. It happens even within sects, and it happens on all levels of humanity for any kind of difference that is found to be peculiar. But those atheists and critics out there who want to say that one religion or another is not true merely because of the flawed behavior of the humans practicing it, I'd be careful to think that human deficiencies are aptly transferable to God. These deficiencies not only add flavor to humanity and keep us humble, but they reflect the ultimate gift to sentient beings: free will.

Amazingly, it seems your post inspired more scorn and admonition. Okay, maybe not mockery. But certainly scornful to claim that members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are not Christians. This is nearly insulting to their beliefs because they hold Jesus the Christ central to their beliefs.

Very good question, if they follow the Word Christ clearly states if they are not against Me they are for Me. It is not our job to judge, but show them the true light. If they cannot see the true light, they might want to reevaluate their own beliefs.

I had a Personal wake up call on this right after 9/11.

they dont do too well at proving to us they know what they are talking about. so much inconsistency for something that is supposed to be divine knowledge

R U going to do the next page of the dictionary tomorrow? I cant wait.

I dont like to see people controlling others lives through lies, hypocrisy and dishonesty and this is what many churches do. Jesus said to the church leaders of His time you place huge burdens on the backs of others but do nothing to help lift them. Pointing this out is not mockery.
