Christ? Psalms 82:3 Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.
And James 1:27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Despite these versus, and others that make it clear to me that Christians need to provide for the poor, and fight for them to have a better life, many Christians hate the phrase social justice. Others say that a Christian's work should only or mainly be evangelistic. Why is this?

It is common for conservative Christians to get their politics, which usually look out for the rights of the rich to the detriment of the poor, all mixed up with their religion and in that way confuse and distort it.True Christians worship the Prince of Peace, not the false violent and blood-stained false god,NATION.
