why do Evangelicals say catholics are non-christians?

according to them because we have different beliefs.. well I read history I found the catholic church was before evangelism
 
It's primarily due to the propaganda campaign Henry VIII launched against the Pope. And yes, the Catholic Church has been around longer than any of the Protestant Churches.

Not longer than the Orthodox Church, but longer than any of the Protestants. ;)
