Why do I cry when I talk about ghosts?

Ok so it's basically how it sounds, I cry when I talk or anybody around me talks about ghosts, hauntings and anything paranormal. I don't mean just one tear, sometimes I'm in floods of tears, I've always wondered why this is. As far as I can remember, this has always happened to me from the age of 7. Maybe it's a sensitive subject to talk about, I don't know, I've never had anything upsetting really happen to me as in people close to me passing away except my twin sister who died when we were born.
I would like to know what other people think of this as I have never known anyone else who this happens to.

Perhaps a childhood incident? Or most probably, a phobia.
Whenever my friends talk about about people who slit wrists, or i watch movies involving that subject, i always find it hard to breathe and often end up crying. Even the thought of it makes me teary after a pretty bad experience involving a six-year-old me and a knife. :P
I think it's probably a bad experience, or like you said, a sensitive subject.

Dear Emzybbzy,
You're not alone I am a mid aged male and am not quick to scare for the most part. I have worked in stressful places, without incidence. I have expirienced this sensation from around the same age that you have described. My 'threory' is that you/I may be a bit more empathic than the average person, and may be able to employ this ability in services when interacting with people. I hope this may be of some assistance.
