It was such a disgraceful ruling that the supreme court put of footnote on the order stating the ruling is to never be used as precedent in another election "problem". That has never happened in a supreme court ruling.They were obviously embarrassed by what they had to do,but they did have to pay people back who nominated them to the high court. The fact is Bush lost the 2000 election when he was appointed by the activist republican Supreme Court. They stopped the re count and just handed Bush the election.

Gore lost!!! Every TV and newspaper ran into Florida and recounted those votes every which way! I can't believe some people still think Gore won!! The guy didn't even carry his home state!!! If he was so close, why didn't he run again?
