Why do many gay men speak and act like women is it natural or fake?

I want to know if when they talk like they do, and act like they do, the shaking their hips, flapping their hands, if it is natural or faked. I figured it was natural but it could be fake to bring attention to other gay guys that they are gay. Either way it is rather annoying, but if it is natural then I won't complain. My ex is sort of bi curious but he doesn't act or sound gay. He has sex with guys sometimes and many of them are in the closet. Ones in the closet usually don't' sound like this although you sometimes get that feeling that they are.
