I am downloading a 6GB bittorrent file using BitTorrent downloader. Two days ago, when I download the file, I gets a download speed of 60-110kbps (although it looks very slow but it is the normal download speed for my computer). After that it drops to 50-90kbps, I decided to download it the next day.
When the next day I download, I found that my download speed is 3-7kbps, I tried restart the downloader and my computer many times but it doesn't work, but about an hour later, it's download speed goes back to 60-110kbps again. I continue the download and goes out awhile. After I comes back, I found that the download speed maintain at 103kbps. (Sometimes it drops, but several second later it goes back to 103)

But, I tried to open the download before I sleep and download for the whole night, the speed maintain at 3-10kbps in the whole night while I was sleep, it is terrible. (The speed was around 50kbps before I goes bed)

And I am downloading now again, the download speed maintain in 0-3kbps for 3 hours, I've tried many way including restart, change port, turn off firewall and many many but my download speed still terrible.

I didn't change anything of my network while I was downloading this file, but why do the download speed has so much difference? (Yesterday, 103, now, 0.3)

Do anyone know how to solve it? And sorry for my English.

60-110 kbps is very slow speed. Downloading such a huge file with slow speed will take some years for sure. Try to use either 768kbps or 1 Mbps speed. It works much better.

On the other hand, before downloading the content, try to either browse internet or download any other content from internet and see the speeds you're getting. If you still facing the same problem then it might be due to the packet loss problem at your end.

To check packet loss: Open the command prompt and type the following command
> ping [default gateway ip address] -l 1400 -n 50

If you're getting reply from the gateway, then there is no packet loss problem.
If you're getting many request timed out repies, then there is a packet loss problem.

To overcome it, please contact your local Internet Service Provider.

Also, see it to that, you're downloading a single file at a time. If you are downloading many files instanly, then the internet speed will be shared.

That's it. Hope this will resolve your problem!!!

it seems that health of file is poor and/or leechers are low so that your torrent speed slows down.
