Why do my coworkers want to gossip about me? ?

I'm really quiet @ work so they don't know that much about me. So anything i do they talk about it. I know I'm interesting since I'm the youngest and the only American there.

Gossip does not require any license? You co-workers like you and are using gossip to make themselves feel superior.

Women in the workplace love, love, love, to gossip, esp about ppl who are different to them, (you are young and american), i wouldnt worry, yes, they may find you interesting. The only important thing is to be polite, nice, dont be nasty, and dont start nasty gossip, do yr work, yr work is whats important.

Im sure they will get sick of it sooner or later and someone else will be their target.

Do you speak their language? If not who cares what they say. If you do, then give them something to talk about, make up some stories about how you used to work in an all topless Swedish milking farm, that is unless you have done that, then make up something different.
