why do my handlebars keep getting loose and uneven on my bmx bike?

i keep tightening my stem and the handlebars keep getting loose and uneven. is anything on it loose? is my bike broken? please help. i have a verde eon complete.

If the bolts still get tight, then they aren't stripped.

My guess is that overtightening damaged the stem or handlebar, or both. Time for a new bar and stem.

Sounds like it's your stem or the bolts could be stripped. Try new bolts if that doesn't work it's probably your stem.
