My sister and I were raised in a strict, Christian household. We had to attend church 3 times per week and we were not allowed to have boyfriends or else we would be in BIG TROUBLE! I feared my father. I had no relationship with him because he was old-fashioned. His beliefs were the mother took care of the household and the father worked. He never built a relationship with us but he sternly let us know what was expected of us. Now as we are older we havedisastrouss relationships with men. I just got out of an emotionally, degrading abusive relationship and she is hanging on to a guy who cheated on her a million times and abuses heremotionallyy, mentally, verbally, physically and she chooses to stick around. WHY? Does it have to do with the way we were raised?
